The first video for my Computer Programming I class. Introduces basic concepts of Python, basic functionality of the Calico shell, and basic movement of the Scribbler robot simulator.

  1. First, to connect the Scribbler, you have to buy a Fluke dongle to connect it to the computer. A USB cord will not work with Python. Do you have one of those? Also, you need to download the Calico Software. Google "IPRE Calcio" and find the software there. (I can't post links in comments). That will let you code the robot. Also google "Learning Computing with Robots Using Calico Python". That is a free "textbook" that explains how to program with the robot.

  2. Great. What happens is that I have the Robot Scribble home but still do not know how to program, not the syntax that is used much less commands to make the robot work. I have understood that I have used Python but some IDE to program in this language. All I know is that I can use Sublime Text Editor but not how.
