  1. Michael Myers (esp in the rebooted film) and Jason Voorhees weren't even mentioned as Honorable Mentions, but Freddy Krueger made it shockingly high on the list…? Tell me that you wouldn't be scared out of your mind if you had just been the sole survivor of a woman's murderous spree, and chilling in a boat in a lake, watching the police come and save the day…then Bam, a deformed child jumps and grabs you into the water; or a man with a sack over his head was chasing you, and you found a hiding place in a creepy shack, where you saw a shrine with a decapitated head on a table while he's breaking the door open. Then, after thinking you've killed him and seeing his disfigured face, then making it back you your cabin to see the little doggie at the door…then bam! a disfigured creature jumps through the window and grabs you! And that's only in the first two movies. He gets scarier in 10 more films, while Freddy becomes a cartoon-like character.
Or Jennifer from "I spit on your grave" (2010). That b***h scared the shit out of me!

  3. I was thinking about Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Norman Bates, and I was kinda confused about what could be number one. Let's just say, that you got me there watchmojo, undoubtedly the creepiest, the spookiest, the most terrifying performance ever put on film. And it was by the 13-year-old girl. Like wow.

  4. When I first saw "The Shining" in 1980 when it was released people in the theatre, including myself, though his performance was more funny than scary. I guess it's all about perception. Also, it's really an insult to a fine actor like Anthony Hopkins to say that "Silence of the Lambs" 'made his career' he had been a distinguished actor way before that. Another thing, he was way scarier as Nixon than a Hanibal Lechter.
